1. Will you pick me up?

We can pick you and/or drop you off upon request. Please request for this at the time of booking.

2. What are the requirements to rent a car at MKK Car Rental?

All drivers must provide (1) a valid driver’s license, (2) must be at least 21 years of age and (3) should have hold its driver’s license for at least three years (i.e. regardless of the driver’s age). There is no maximum driver age limit.

3. What are the driver’s license requirements for renting a car at MKK Car Rental?

Regardless of your age, you must have hold a driver’s license for a period of at least three years to rent a car. Drivers must present a valid, government-issued driver’s license which includes a photograph of the renter. The license must be valid for the entire rental period. We do not accept digital licenses and/or photocopies of driver’s licenses.

4. What are the payment options for renting a car?

Rental costs can be paid with cash, credit or debit card. All major credit cards are accepted, including American Express, Diners Club, MasterCard, Discover and Visa. Payments are accepted at the time of car pickup.

5. Do you require a security deposit when renting a vehicle?

MKK Car Rental requires a minimum security deposit of USD 300.00. Other arrangements are possible for local renters. Once you return the vehicle we will return your security deposit in full, unless there are additional unplanned events such as an unfilled fuel tank, car damages or a late return.

6. Can I add an additional driver to my rental contract?

You may add an additional driver as long as he/she meets the driver requirements mentioned earlier. In addition, additional drivers must appear at the rental counter with the primary driver during vehicle pickup time. Additional fees apply for every additional driver.

7. Do you offer safety child seats?

We offer child seats at an additional charge per day. There is a limited quantity of child seats available, so it is best to ask for availability when booking a vehicle. Child seats vary by country. You may inquire with your airline about bringing your personal child seat from home. It is the renter’s responsibility to properly install and fasten a child safety or booster seat.

8. How do I change or cancel my reservation?

You can change or cancel your reservation by e-mail, calling (during business hours) or messaging (WhatsApp 24/7) at your convenience.

9. What is your cancellation policy?

If you wish to cancel your reservation, a cancellation fee will apply.

10. I just had an accident and I need car while my vehicle is being repaired. What do I do?

Accidents: Most of our vehicles have full coverage insurance. The renter is required to call Road Services at 199 intermediately after the accident. The vehicle should not be moved until the (traffic) forensic personnel arrives. The renter must pay a flat insurance deductible premium of approximately USD 450.00 per event. If you do not call Road Services, you will be fully responsible for the vehicle in the event of damage.

Renters must also call MKK Car Rental as soon as possible by calling (during business hours) or messaging (WhatsApp 24/7). MKK Car Rental may be able to arrange a replacement for the damaged vehicle based on its current availability.

Emergency fuel delivery, key replacement, flat tire repair: Mistakes happen. For these types of unexpected surprises, the renter can also contact Road Services at 199 for assistance. In these cases, the renter must pay the applicable service fees applicable to the Road Services company.

11. My flight has been delayed; I will not be able to pick up my car on time… What do I do?

If you let us know you are running late we might be able to hold your car back until you arrive. Extra fees may apply, including pickup/drop off services.

12. Can I return my rental vehicle after your regular office hours?

It is possible to return the vehicle after office hours. We have procedures in place for your early or late return if prior notification and arrangements have been made.

Please note that vehicles should be returned to the same location where picked up, unless prior notification and arrangements were made. For vehicles that are returned after hours when a branch is closed, the renter is responsible for the vehicle until the check-in inspection is passed satisfactorily (which takes place on the next business day).

13. Can I extend the rental period for my vehicle?

Yes, this is possible. Please contact our office to arrange for a new return date and time.

14. Can I shorten the rental period for my vehicle?

For earlier returns all discounts and/or special rates will be cancelled. An early return fee will also be added to your bill. Please note that we are unable to give a refund for earlier-hour returns on scheduled return dates.

15. Are there additional charges for late returns?

Yes. returning a vehicle late has additional charges. The renter must always contact MKK Car Rental in advance to arrange for timetable changes.

16. Do I need to refuel the vehicle before returning? Are there other options?

Upon returning the car you have the following two (2) options:

a. If you prepay the fuel: There will be no need to refuel the vehicle before returning it. Purchase the fuel in the tank at the time of rental and you can return it at any level.

b. If you refuel: You refuel just before returning the car. The renter may refuel the vehicle to the same fuel level upon picking up the vehicle. If the renter chooses not to refuel the vehicle to the same fuel level as when received, MKK Car Rental will charge the renter to refuel the tank. The price of the fuel will be based on local fuel rates.

17. What is your policy with regards to pets?

No pets are allowed in the vehicle.

18. What is your policy with regards to smoking?

Smoking in the vehicle is not allowed.
